God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know
the difference.

A more personalised version:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I can not change,
the courage to change the one I can
and the wisdom to know
that one is me.

Plus a lighter version:

God grant me the senility
to forget the people
I never liked anyway,
the good fortune
to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight
to tell the difference.
