Waking Dreams Won't Stop

Moira wrote:

I know this is going to sound wierd (it does to me) but I just don't know what to do, or weather this is normal or whatever.

Basicaly for about two years, I have had very disturbing dreams, involving mostly me bieng kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered. I then began to see these things (not of my own free will) when awake, and for about three months they have become more frequent and more violent.

Is this normal? I have tryed to talk to my friends, but when I get close to the subject I can't seem to get the words out. I can't even have a functioning conversation now, as the images wont stop coming. Help.

Dear Moira

Bad dreams are 'normal', they can happen to anyone. But spilling over into your daily life is not so common - and if it is causing you problems, which it clearly is, then you need to do something about it - you need to get help.

Please see a doctor or a counsellor; the problem can be helped ... but you need to make the first move.
