I've always had unwanted hair. A whole lot of it ... All over my back and stomach
and chest. As a girl, that is not the most attractive thing. I was probably about
five or so when I noticed it. I am now 23, and I still have this problem. I have
dark hair, so the hair on my body, although very fine, is dark. I have
tried hair removal lotion but it only lasts 2-3 days. I just want to feel attractive.
I don't know why I have this problem. Do you have any ideas? Thanks! Dear
Yvonne, The two most likely reasons are genetic or hormonal (or a combination).
If it's an issue that is common amongst your family, them it may be that it's
'one of those things' that is part of being in your family; that might mean that
cosmetic management is the only serious option. Another possibility is a hormone
inbalance that can be treated with some success. It is also possible that a treatable
condition has come with the genes, so finding other members of the family wiyth
similar issues does not mean it cannot be treated. First, visit your doctor,
and ask for a general check, but explain how you see the problem. |
