What Is A Friend?

Hey, I am just new to this website but I have so many problems its crazy.
See I am one of the popular girls at school and I have a group of friends
and I know that none of them like me, and they talk so much crap about
me.
I still really like them and I think that they're amazing.
I know, but what should i do?
Dear Eleanor,
First, you need to think about what a friend is. It's important, because
a friend is probably the most valuable thing you'll ever have.
- A friend is someone you can trust - not someone who talks crap about
you behind your back.
- A friend is someone you like, and who likes you - you are extremely
unpopular, if even your friends don't like you.
- A friend is someone you know and understand, and who knows and understands
you - not a slimy, cliquey toe rag.
Once you've thought about that - you won't agree exactly, but hopefully
you'll be close - you should start looking around you and start counting
your real friends.
Don't just look at the slimeballs you have been calling 'friend' look
further; look at the people you haven't really noticed because you're
so 'popular'; including the ones you snubbed because you thought you were
better than them. You are not, are you? Because they all have friends,
real friends, and you have none.
It won't be easy, but the next few weeks - if you have the courage -
will be the most important in your life.
And if you don't act soon, it'll be too late, and you'll just get lonelier.
Good Luck; Take Courage!
