How can I get rid of body odour?

I have had it since I was 11 years old. I am 21 now.
Soon after puberty, I started smelling badly. No one in my family
has body odour. What should I do?
Embarrassing to go to doctor. Please help.
Dear Olivia
There's no way out of it; you must go to the doctor.
The problem may not be as bad as you think (the way we smell ourselves
is not how others smell us); and even if it is, it may be a simple,
treatable, medical condition.
By not going to the doctor, certain conditions can get worse - and
overuse of soaps, deodorants and other chemicals may make it worse,
harder to treat, and cause other problems too.
Find a female doctor, and get it over with - a few minutes of embarassment
may make a big difference in your life.
Please Note: I am NOT a physician, and any
'health advice' should NOT be taken to be "Medical Advice"
- because it is not - my aim is to give you a few possibilities to be
thinking about, and some general 'common sense' advice - if my advice
says see a doctor, then see a doctor! |
