We Ended Up Having Sex

That's because it is. After your 'friend' was honest enough to share her feelings, you took advantage of her. Now you say you want no-one to get hurt.

You stated that you just wanted friendship, then stated, by your actions, that you wanted more.

You really mean you want a way to divert her pain where it won't touch you.

Sadly, you've deceived her, raised her hopes, and now propose to dash them. That carries pain.

And I sincerely hope you get your share.
