Lonely and in Love on the web

Tim wrote:

My girlfriend is 14, and I met her in an internet chat room two years ago. We have never met in person, but she has the most beautiful personality.

I'm frustrated because I am 19 and can't meet her until she's 21, and the strain is hurting us both.

What can we do?

Dear Tim

Wait.

What's the problem? You met on the net, your friendship is on the net, and, so far as I know, the net ain't going no where.

Most internet realtionships die when people meet; OK, some are remarkable successes. But there's no guarantee, and unless you want to go to prison, you'll need to wait until she is no longer a child.

Of course it's not easy; but you never had it, so you can't miss it. And let's face it, your options are limited to, er, waiting.
