Noisy Kids getting me down

How do you suggest I keep my children quiet?

Dear Jean,
I don't. Childen make a noise; that what they do, that's their job. Quieten them now, you pay the price later. Most children go through a noisy phase, it's not a problem, just part of life.

Now, you might have a problem - most parents have a limit to the noise they can take, some kids go way beyond that limit. But, as I said, that's their job. Don't punish kids for being kids. If you have a problem, let's talk about it.
